Check out the new lunch deal at The Irish House, VR Mall, Bengaluru

The Irish House, Bengaluru is having a newly launched lunch deal which is ideal for working professionals as well as people who look for a quick lunch fix after a tiresome shopping. Recently I was invited to try this whole new lunch deal menu. On a working day afternoon, I went there with my better half. I love going to TIH and my experience has always been wonderful. It’s located at Level 3 in VR Mall.

TIH has got an amazing ambiance with a pleasant atmosphere and you would love to spend time there especially with Bangalore’s current climate you will opt for the outdoor seating area. The entire VR Mall is in holiday cheer and you will see Christmas decorations everywhere. TIH is also in festive spirit and decorations are on.

Soon after we settled for lunch a polite TIH staff gave us the menu and explained us the lunch deal. We had an option to pair it with Beer or Sangria and we ordered both. Beer for the hubby dear and Sangria for the lady. For the lunch deal, we have to select one appetizer, one main course, and a side dish. I ordered Chicken Olivetta (appetizer) with Spaghetti Bolognese (main course) and homemade potato wedges (sides) along with a glass of Sangria. My better half’s lunch was even more interesting with Grilled Chicken Sicilian (appetizer), Sesame crusted fish with peperonata rice and coriander cream sauce (main course), herb-coated crispy fries (sides) and a mug of chilled Kingfisher premium beer.

Out of all, I loved Spaghetti Bolognese the most. The minced chicken coated with red sauce and spaghetti combination is to die for. They prepared it so perfectly that you don’t want to miss even the last portion. You will lick the plate clean. The appetizer which I ordered was a bit dry for me but it tasted great with olive stuffing. Initially, by seeing the portion size of the wedges I thought it was very less but towards the end of the meal, I realized that TIH has served the perfect quantity especially working people will just love this lunch.

The lunch combo my hubby ordered was really scrumptious too. The appetizer served was like a desi version of Sicilian chili chicken. The portion size was good and chunks of grilled chicken were tossed with the right amount of spices. This along with crispy French fries went well with the creamy and flavorsome main course - Sesame crusted fish with peperonata rice and coriander cream sauce. The Sesame crusted fish was crispy on the outside and very tender inside. They served the coriander cream sauce along with Sesame crusted fish which was absolutely heavenly. The colorful mix of bell peppers in the perfectly cooked aromatic rice was pure bliss. I couldn’t dig into this combo much as it was my hubby’s lunch. The chilled beer was an apt drink for the sunny afternoon in the outdoor seating area.

I wish they have added desserts also in the lunch menu. This pocket friendly lunch deal is priced at ₹ 275/- for Veg and ₹ 325/- for Non Veg (Taxes applicable). You can pair it up with Beer at ₹ 95 and Sangria at ₹ 145. With a fabulous menu, this lunch deal is a steal for the money. I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch at The Irish House and I’m sure that I will be going there again soon. They are also having a festive special offer which surely makes you say ‘Wow!’ :)
