Visit the newly opened Copper Chimney, Koramangala outlet for a hearty North Indian spread!

Recently I have been to the newly opened Copper Chimney outlet in Koramangala. This popular restaurant has bagged numerous awards over the past years, hence my expectations were high. A lazy Saturday afternoon at Copper Chimney with few friends, great food and meaningful conversations was truly relaxing experience for us. The vibrant décor and elegant seating area create a soothing atmosphere for the diners.

With Bengaluru’s crazy changing weather, we have to be very careful about the food and drinks we have outside. So I started my lunch with a glass of fresh Orange juice.

For appetizers, I had the tangy and mildly spiced Tawa Imli Aloo, melt-in-the-mouth Mutton Seekh Kabab, and flavorful Smoked White Pepper Chicken.

From the time this new outlet is opened two dishes were haunting me. I wanted to try their Bazaar ke Chole and Muzaffar (dessert) and guess what my wish was granted. Both the dishes were available on the day of my visit. Bazaar ke Chole served with Aloo Kulcha was a great combination. We also had a bowl of steamed rice, assorted Indian breads with Dal Maharaja and Chicken Bharta.

The desserts at Copper Chimney is definitely not to be missed, especially the creamy Muzaffar with strands of golden roasted Vermicelli. This Lucknowi Rabdi will win your heart for sure. Almond Phirni with Chikki crumble was another delightful dessert created so perfectly. The topping of sliced kiwi made it even more special.

The service was quick and staffs at Copper Chimney are very polite and attentive. Overall I had a great time with friends at Copper Chimney, Koramangala. Dear readers, do visit and try the dishes I have mentioned. You can thank me later :)

Check out the new menu at Ottimo at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru!

Italian food is always best; a treat to all senses. When you dine at a luxury fine-dining restaurant like Ottimo, it’s an experience to cherish. From its charming interiors to supremely delicious dishes on the menu, Ottimo at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru is easily one of the best Italian restaurants in India. With a well thought out section on Italian cuisine for the health-conscious, the culinary choices at Ottimo created by Chef Vittorio Greco is a rare fusion of traditional Italian with an emphasis on nutrition and fresh ingredients for their diners.

Ottimo focuses on Pan Italian cuisine and the new menu is extraordinary. Chef Chirag and his team created a beautiful dinner for a few of us recently.

We started with –

Burrata with Sour Cherry, and toasted almonds. I always enjoy the Burrata at Ottimo. The Sour Cherry compote was just amazing.

The Proscuitto Melon, when presented, was just like a fine piece of art. So beautifully plated and the flavors were so good along with a glass of Merlot.

Cauliflower Chocolate Soup – Chocolate in a soup, only Ottimo can get this right. I loved this soup which got polished off in seconds.

Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Butter Sauce and Crab Ravioli with Star Anise bisque – From the two Ravioli options; we loved the delicate and finely created Pumpkin Ravioli compare to the Crab one.

Watermelon Sorbet

Chef Chirag is a pro <3

Almond crusted Australian Lamb chops with Jerusalem Artichoke, Gin and Juniper berry jus – My favorite from the new menu. I enjoyed every bit of this dish. Chef Chirag plated this so well that for the first few seconds I couldn't just stop looking at this beautiful plate. The flavors were amazing and the Jerusalem Artichoke puree along with Blue Potato crisps were so good.

Tiramisu 2.0 – The deconstructed Tiramisu 2.0 was a complete treat. The very first serving will be given to you by the Chef/Steward before you could indulge in the beautiful notes of Espresso. This is the kind of dessert you would want to indulge in by just focussing on the master creation.

Great food, good conversation and great company always matter. Overall I had a great time at the Ottimo with some of my close friends. It’s always a pleasure visiting this magnificent hotel which believes in ‘Responsible luxury’. They are ahead of any other hotel chains when it comes to water recycling, energy and waste management. The lush gardens and other eco-friendly spots add a special charm to the award-winning ITC Hotel.
