I believe in this quote - “People don’t
take trips, trips take people” by John Steinbeck.
This is what I felt when I did a staycation
a few weeks ago at the Signature Club
Resort, Devanahalli. Easter just got over and for working people, it’s hard to find a holiday in coming
few months. A staycation is a perfect way
to enjoy your sweet little time from your busy schedule. My hubby and I have
spent quality time in few resorts before and club resort concept is not that
unfamiliar to us. Brigade Orchard where Signature Club Resort is located is very beautiful and calm property
which is spread across in 130 acres smart township. They believe in Green
Carpet experience for their patrons. The Signature
Club Resort is filled with lush greenery and fresh air. So when you are here
forget about the hustle bustle of the city life.
We took almost 1.5 hours to reach this
place from HAL side (by cab). As it is
Brigade group’s property it is well maintained and staffs here are very sweet
and helpful. After welcoming us with a refreshing welcome drink, we went
through the usual check-in procedures. They have 45 executive rooms and 5
Suites, 28 King size rooms and 12 twin bedrooms. The spacious guest rooms have
basic amenities like Wi-Fi connectivity, TV, work desk, mini bar, washroom
with 24/7 hot water availability,
comfortable mattress, clean linens and a balcony which overlooks the greenery
of Brigade property. We got room no: 111 and I was so excited to see my lucky
number as the room number.
As it was a staycation, we didn’t want to
waste a single minute. So we quickly freshened up and came out of room to take
the resort tour. Few of my fellow bloggers were also there and we had one
helluva fun time. We were greeted by Mr. Rahul from Marketing team who took us
for the resort tour. This can be a perfect place for weekend getaways as well
as corporate team outing as they have ‘n’ number of things to entertain you.
With birds chirping all around, walking
in this property is kind of unwinding experience from all your stress. They
have such lush greenery, traditional
Mangalorean homestyle designs with split
levels, courtyards, open verandah etc and it’s all well maintained. This is
what we miss in chaotic city life. We should adapt
this kind of lifestyle in cities as well. Metropolitan people should think more
about eco-friendly culture and
atmosphere.
While walking we noticed their outdoor
activity areas like Basket Ball court, Tennis court, Cricket ground, a well-laid jogging track, Paintball and Shooting
area etc. They also have indoor recreation activity areas like swimming pool
with temperature control, Squash court, two Badminton courts with Oakwood
flooring, a well-equipped gym, Yoga
terrace, Table tennis, and Billiards – Pool Table. The only thing I missed this
time was the Spa which will be opening soon. My hubby and I enjoyed playing
Basket Ball, TT, and Badminton. We felt so rejuvenated after playing the games.
Their F&B includes Courtyard Café,
Pavilion Bar, and Tamarind
Restaurant. We had a wonderful time
relishing some good grub. We tried their lavish Buffet dinner and breakfast and
also the a la carte lunch. The food was great. We mostly had fresh juices,
tea/coffee, and also tried a couple of
mocktails which was just okay. We spent most of the time in outdoor activities,
so dining in the restaurant was more
relaxing than going for the room service.
We hardly spend two days in Signature Club
Resort and saw this place packed with corporate team outings, family celebrations
etc. They have two nice banquet halls which are perfect for accommodating larger
crowds.
Overall I enjoyed my staycation at
Signature Club Resorts. Their package starts from ₹5800 onwards. Places to see
