The entire stretch in Indiranagar 12th
main is party lovers and foodies’ paradise. ‘Nevermind’ is the latest one in
this lively street in Indiranagar. From the catchy name to unique interior;
cool patterns to spacious dining area; lip-smacking
food to beautiful drinks, this place just takes you through a wonderful
gastronomical trail. There is something really special about Nevermind – may be
the vibes, the delicious spread or the music; once you are inside this place,
you’ll nevermind the outside world. Two
weeks ago, a bunch of us girls went there for lunch and we simply loved this
uber chic pub.
This newest bar in town is conceptualized
by Mr. Shylesh Jain, Rice Obliquity team
and Rohit Barker. The interiors are done in such a way that if one corner makes
you feel that you are dining in a palace with all the antique charms around you
then the domed shaped dining area make you feel that you are in an igloo. The
architect has done a brilliant job by adding a tropical touch to this place. Nevermind’s
ambiance is so spacious that you will feel that the walls have no ears and your
conversations remain secret – a place where you want to spend time with your
partner or close friends. Check out my FB live video, here
Nevermind offers an elaborate Pan-Asian
menu where you can choose from Soups to baos
and dim sums, Indian grilled items to Asian inspired stir-fries and lot more interesting dishes. We had someone who was
down with cold, so we started our lunch with a hot and delicious Tom Kha soup
(Veg).
From the appetizers, I loved their soft,
tender and melt in the mouth - Korean Beef Bao, sweet and charred slow cooked
Honey Chilli Pork, Thai Coconut crumb Prawns, Chicken Dumpling and Multani
Paneer Tikka. They have used a variety of microgreens in most of the appetizers & salads and everyone knows how much I love microgreens in my plate.
Nevermind’s Bar menu is perfect for cocktail lovers. I loved ‘The Flint’ – Vodka
based drink with Guava juice, jalapeno, and
mint. The classic Chilli- salted rim simply enhances the flavors. From the ‘Booze & Tonic’ menu, I tried their Rose & Cucumber
flavored Gin and Tonic – a must try drink for Gin lovers.
After so many
appetizers and a couple of drinks, we
kept our main course very simple consisting Asian Green Fried rice with Kimchi
sauce, Coastal Prawn Curry and Thai Jungle Curry (Veg). The Prawns curry had
great flavors but the curry could have been a bit
thicker. The Kimchi rice was so nicely
done.
For desserts, the majority liked the Banoffee
Cheesecake and as I am not a Banana fan, my sweet cravings were fulfilled with
an awesome JD Mud pie.
Overall I loved my dining experience at
Nevermind and would love to visit again. If you haven’t visited this place yet
then make plans for this weekend. A meal for two would be ₹1800/- ++ (with alcohol) and ₹1000/- ++ (without alcohol). Thanks to the gorgeous ladies, Sonalika and Saina for having us over <3
Attention ladies… They have ‘Flower Power
Party’ every Wednesday and if you go in a group of 4 women (or more) then you can enjoy a
full bottle of Sparkling Wine for free. Isn’t a great deal? <3
