The Pump House - A must visit Pub in JP Nagar, Bengaluru!

A few years back, going to a Pub for me was like Friday night party with friends and options were really less that time. Now Pub culture has boomed like anything and every corner you will find one. If there is craft beer available at the Pub which I visit, then I won't bother checking the bar menu for other options. Recently I have been to 'The Pump House' at JP Nagar and had a lovely afternoon.

So what's special about this place? - I liked every corner of this Pub. They have great ambience, well maintained green spots everywhere and lovely vibes. Spread across three levels, TPH is one of the finest pubs I have visited in town. They have 6 house beers on tap (Including a seasonal beer) and my most favorite was 'Tropical Stout with Coffee' with ABV 6.6% and IBU 24. After a long journey to this Pub, a glass of chilled beer was much needed.

You will be surprisingly confused to see their food menu with dishes from all around the world and Chef Cris has got magic in his hands. Almost everything he suggested us were so damn good. I liked the crunchy Muesli Chat (which I never had before), the classic Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce, Egg Truffle Pakoda, Tandoori Jhinga (Prawns), and Murgh Malai Tikka. The DIY Nachos platter was comparatively better than the Mezzeh platter. The Beef Pepper Fry was so AMAZINGGG.

For the Main course, my friend and I tried their Kung Pao Chicken and instead of Jasmine rice, we opted for Veg fried rice. The Veg fried rice was so flavorful and mildly spicy with Sichuan peppercorns in it. The Kung Pao chicken was too sweet for my liking.

After trying appetizers and main course, there was no room for desserts, so I settled with a glass of cocktail - Cocoberry Bomb. While taking the order the staff clearly told me that cocktail will be too sweet for my liking but I really loved the flavors and I didn't miss the desserts.

On a Tuesday afternoon, we saw this place so packed and do I have to mention anything more? Do visit TPH and I am sure you will have a great time too, just like me. A meal for two would be INR 1500/-  approximately (with alcohol).
